Happy National Coffee Day!

It’s a brew-ti-ful day to drink coffee! See what I did there. That’s right. National Coffee Day is tomorrow and here are a few ways to celebrate.

Try a coffee-inspired dish!

Who said coffee cannot be made into a yummy dish? Pinterest can help inspire you for this. We drink coffee with our dessert, so why not make a coffee dessert? The options are pretty much endless. Coffee cake. Tiramisu. Coffee cheesecake. Coffee ice cream. Coffee inspired waffles. Try something unique but delicious this holiday. It may just become your next favorite thing!

Sign up for a coffee subscription.

Full disclosure: I have yet to sign up for a coffee subscription. So, I cannot vouch for how good they may be. But you can sign up for a subscription for just about anything, so why not do it for this. If you're a coffee enthusiast, I feel like it’s a no-brainer. I did a bit of research for you and found 5 subscriptions for you to try.

Check out some cool offers at your local coffee shops.

The first two options may not be up your alley but maybe this one feels just right. Coffee shops are the new rage in our cities. Pick a few of your favorites and see if they are offering any specials for the occasion. There’s a chance they are. Hello, marketing! I strongly prefer coffee shops over some of the bigger coffee chains. However, I would venture that Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks will have a specials going on that you can’t resist.

Some deals to consider:

Dunkin Donuts: DD Perks members can get a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase at Dunkin’.

Peet's: Get 20% off beans, K-cup pods and capsules nationwide in store and on peets.com between September 29 and October 2. Get a free small drip coffee with any purchase in store on National Coffee Day, Thursday, Sept 29 only.

Try a new brew.

I’m just going to be real. I’m predictable. When I find something that I like, I stick with it. Don’t hate me but I am a proud fanatic of the classic black cup of joe. I understand that is probably not the brew for you. But I think there is no better way to go. Try a new and different brew. Try something that sounds good and fun to you. Try a recommended drink or one of the specials instead of your classic order. If you go to the same place every week, it may even confuse your barista. But we need to go a little spontaneous every now and then. Even when it comes to our coffee.

Celebrate coffee culture

This is an option that is easily available if you live in the Portland or Seattle areas. They are known for coffee culture and their endless locations of coffee shops. If you live outside of this, celebrating coffee culture may be difficult but not impossible. It may mean checking out a new coffee shop. It may mean learning the history of coffee or even the making of coffee. Grab some friends and make coffee in your home and meet a favorite place and celebrate what is greatly known as National Coffee Day.
